For this year’s Fall Men’s Bible Study, we’ll be digging into the Old Testament book of Lamentations. We’ll be meeting on Sunday evenings from 6:00pm-7:30pm, running for five weeks straight from September 17th to October 15th. Interested? Sign up here:
Five chapters long, Lamentations is a collection of five poems or songs born from an eyewitness – traditionally thought to be Jeremiah – to Jerusalem’s destruction at the hands of her enemies, her struggle to survive the fallout, and her longing for restoration. What’s there to learn and apply for us today? The lost art of lamenting our sin, suffering, and the fallenness of our world, laced with the never-ceasing steadfastness of God’s love and his new morning mercies.
Lamentations gives us permission to meet the brutality of the world and the gravity of our own sin with honesty, vulnerability, and a grace that redeems and promises to one day restore in Christ.
Looking forward to digging in with you all! If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly: email@example.com. I’ll be reaching out to those who sign up soon about what our time together will look like, how to get the most out of our study together, etc.
Love you guys!
