Hi Village Family,
Last Sunday during gathering we had the opportunity to hear an update from Daryl Gunnarson, the co-director of the Father’s House. It was incredible hearing stories of God’s faithfulness to bring about this work. Today, seven years after Daryl sat with city leaders and shared the vision, the project is debt free and ready to begin offering services to foster & adoptive families in Butler County. And God receives all the glory. I just LOVE that!!
Currently, there is a need for tutors. If you are interested in offering your time to help kids in the areas of reading, math, or any other area where you have a skill that you’d love to share, please reach out to me or to Daryl & Roxann Gunnarson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additionally, we are having our annual spring clean-up/landscaping work party on Saturday, April 7th from 9-2. This is one of my favorite days of the year, as we join together, young and old to roll up our sleeves and help create beautiful places for families to gather. There will be grass to be mowed, weeds to pull and mulch to lay. Please RSVP on The City or reach out to me so we can plan accordingly.
Lastly, there is an open house on Friday, April 27th from 3-7 where you’ll have an opportunity to walk through the mansion, see the finished work and celebrate God’s provision. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about the faithfulness of God, working through His people to do the long, hard work of rebuilding what was once forgotten and in doing so, breathing new life and hope into the lives of many.
Blessings to you all,
Faye & Rick Meyer
