If you’re a student, then you’re a disciple, a member, a servant and a missionary like anyone else in the church.
1) regular meet-ups with a leader
2) monthly large-group events
We want our 7th-12th graders to have a chance to gather together, get to know each other, and have fun! These events change from month to month, and we’re hoping to have a schedule of upcoming events posted soon. Our first outing to an FC Cincinnati soccer match was a blast!
While students will be under the care of our student leaders, parents are always welcome to come along so they can get to know and trust our leaders and our ministry.
We also want our students to build relationships with people who are slightly older who they feel comfortable with, can relate to, and can trust. By spending some one-on-one or small group time with students, our student leaders hope to establish a rhythm of personal discipleship and become a healthy, gospel-rooted, Spirit-led presence in their lives.
Again, the frequency, nature, etc. of these opportunities are ultimately at the discretion of parents. Trust is at the heart of this ministry, and it’s something we want to earn!
Our Student Leaders
Josh and Kristen Santos and Travis and Mersedes Russell are our current student leaders. They’re well-known members of The Village who are committed to the family and the mission here.
If you have any questions for them or want to talk with them directly, don’t hesitate to reach out to us at email@example.com. We’ll connect you with them!
Part of the Family. Part of the Mission.
students formed by the gospel and sent on mission
At The Village, we believe all of our kids are no less part of the family and part of the mission. We don’t want to keep students an arm’s length away from the full life and family of the church by always separating them from the older adults who can invest, disciple and mature them in Christ. Our 7th-12th graders are equal partners in the gospel and disciples who are learning from, following and leading others to Jesus just like the rest of us!
And yet, they thrive by having an opportunity to specifically build community with other students and engage with peers about their specific context of school, siblings and all that comes with their season of life!
We encourage every student to:
