...But is it Safe? | Back in The 210!

We're still on track to gather back inside The 210 this Sunday, yet some of you may [rightly!] be wondering, "But is it safe?" That's a great question!

In short, the answer is, "Yes!" On top of the 150 (that's not an exaggerated number) blowers and dehumidifiers that have been down here to make sure things are good...

✨...an army of volunteers came to wipe-off, wipe-down, spray, sanitize, move, and mop things last night. Everything from barstools to toddler toys were cleaned. (They even flipped on the electronics with their fingers crossed!)

✨...rugs were rolled up and hauled out of The 210 to be cleaned and dried before being returned.

✨...carpets are being shampooed and dried.

✨...every other floor is being mopped.

✨...we've tossed anything that's even remotely "not good."

✨...probably lots of other stuff I'm not thinking of right now!

We wouldn't invite anyone down here if we thought it was in any way unsafe or unsanitary. (And I promise that some of us wouldn't be working down here for several hours straight, day after day if that was the case, either!)

You *will* notice some cosmetic things. There's an unfortunate (but necessary!) hole in the ceiling, some peeled paint, and missing cove base where we've been drying out the walls. But those will all be patched up in due time!

The restoration company has been great to work with, and we couldn't be more grateful for all the extra hands who've been in here over the last 10 days to help put things in order. (You know who you are!)

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out. We just wanted to give you all confidence in the hard work that so many professionals, Villagers, and Village professionals (!) have given. We've been incredibly blessed!

Thank you! ...and see you Sunday!
