Avenger
(Psalm 9)

Main Idea:
When life is hard, recite the works of God.

-

Because the Lord is the Greatest Avenger:

  1. He has our back. (1-8)
    (He opposes our enemies)

  2. We have his eye. (9-20)
    (He notices the afflicted)

Reflect | Repent | Respond

  1. What role has suffering played in your life?

    > What truths about God are difficult to behold when life is hard?

  2. What does Psalm 9 remind us about God, in light of our suffering and enemies?

    > What different does it make that God has our back?

    > What different does it make that we have God’s eye?

  3. What commitment are you making right now about your plan to put God’s Word before your eyes and in your heart?
