Hospitality to the Least
(Matthew 25:31-46)

Main Idea:
God warns that the way we relate to the least of those among us is a mirror reflecting how we relate to Christ.

-

  1. This is a warning. (v. 31-33)

  2. To welcome the least is to welcome Christ. (v. 34-40)

  3. To reject the least is to reject Christ. (v. 41-46; Lk. 12-14)

Reflect | Repent | Respond

  1. When you consider the “least of these” who comes to mind? >> What does that reveal about your heart?

  2. What would change if the “least of these” brought thoughts of who you are outside of Christ?

    > What do we learn about Jesus by his love for the least?

    > What do we learn about our value in God’s eyes?

  3. Jesus tells parables to pain kingdom pictures. What type of picture is he painting here?

    > In what way is the Word and Spirit inviting you to show hospitality to the least?
