Tragedy and Triumph
(1 Samuel 30:1-31)

When the world crashes down our strength comes from God, and His strength shapes us by grace for grace.

Two questions two ask when life crashes down:

  1. What does it mean to find strength in the Lord?

  2. What is the fruit of finding strength in the Lord?

Reflection Questions

  • Where do you turn when your world crashes?

How do you know it’s crashing?

  • What difference does it make whether or not you find strength in the Lord your God?

Where do you tend to find strength apart from God?

  • What does it actually look like for you to find your strength in the Lord your God?

What does that mean? • What doesn’t that mean?
