God's Just Judgment
(Romans 2:1-29)

God’s judgment leaves no room for spiritual arrogance.

God judges according to…

  1. …the truth. (1-11)

  2. …the gospel of Jesus. (12-16)

  3. …the heart. (17-29)

Reflection Questions

  • How does realizing that God judges without favoritism challenge your sense of moral superiority or insecurity?

    > In what specific areas of your life are you tempted to judge others by your own standards rather than God's truth?

  • How does the understanding that our standing before God is based on our relationship with Jesus Christ, not our own works, bring you comfort and/or conviction?

    > Are there ways in which you are relying on your own "doing" rather than Christ's "done" work?

    > How can that focus shift, even today?
