Resources on Race in America & the Church

Village:

We've heard some requests for help on where to start learning more about race in America and the church. Linked here is a list of resources - sermons, videos, books, documentaries, series, letters, etc. - that we'd recommend as places to start.

These conversations aren't new to The Village. As a church, we broke the ice on this conversation during the summer of 2016 when racial (and other!) tensions across the country were rapidly escalating in ways we couldn't (and shouldn't) avoid as disciples of Jesus and citizens of heaven.

I say all that because while we've hopefully matured since then a body, it's important that we talk about these things together - whether that's for the first time or once again. Some of us weren't around to be part of our past efforts, and even if we were, this isn't a one-and-done conversation.

We hope these resources serve you well for God's glory, your joy, and the good of our brothers, sisters, and neighbors.
