Simeon’s Prayer
(Luke 2:25-38)

Main Idea:
-

Promises fulfilled change the wait for promises yet to come.

-

Because the promise has come, we wait…

  1. Peacefully in life and death. (2:29)

  2. With salvation near and far. (2:30-35)

Reflect | Repent | Respond

  1. If Jesus has done what he was promised to do, how does that change the way we wait for his work yet to come?

  2. Where have you hoped for peace from this world, instead of from the hand of the one who has overcome this world?

  3. Where is God inviting you to believe his salvation is near, and to be bold about his salvation far?
