What to Expect | Winding Down 2022!

Update: Due to the steady risk of crazy cold, snow-blown streets, and an after-dark gathering time, we've made the decision to cancel our Christmas Eve Eve festivities. We hate to miss this special time, but we want everyone to be safe this holiday weekend! Merry Christmas!

Hey all!

While I think most of us know what the next couple of weeks around The Village look like, I certainly don't want to assume anything! Here's a few high points to help you know what to expect around The Village for the remainder of 2022:

- Christmas Eve Eve Gathering (12/23/22) | Join us from 7:00-8:00pm as we celebrate Christmas together as a church family! We'll have some light refreshments, sing some songs, hear our final Advent reading, and wrap up our Prayers of Promise series. We'll close out the night by candlelight!

We have an eye on the weather, which is looking pretty frigid! While we're not expecting snow or ice to make the roads too dangerous, any decision to cancel will be made by 3:00pm on Friday. If you don't hear from us by then here (or anywhere!), then everything is "on" as scheduled!

Lastly, for those who will find it too tough to travel, are on the road elsewhere, or might be stuck at home for other reasons, we'll be livestreaming the gathering. It's not the same as being there in-person, but it's better than nothing!

- No Sunday Gathering (12/25/22) | Every year at Christmas, we move our weekly gathering to Christmas Eve Eve. Our Sunday gathering is a Friday gathering this week!

- New Year's Day (1/1/23) | We'll kick off the new year with a new sermon series! On Sunday, January 1st, we'll pick up where we left off in the Gospel of John. Life in His Name, part two of our journey through John, will take us from chapter 13 through the end of the book. Expect to be hanging out there on Sundays through mid-June!

As an FYI, The Village "offices" will be closed between Christmas Eve Eve and the New Year. Of course, we'll be available if things come up. (Life doesn't stop!) But we generally try to lay low and enjoy some rest between holidays.

Love you all! Excited to celebrate Christmas with you this Friday, and can't wait to begin the new year together on January 1st!
