Four Things for This Weekend

Hey all!

Here are four things to keep in mind for this weekend:

  • Man Camp: We've got a bunch of men who will be spending the weekend outdoors and coming straight to the Sunday gathering smelling like a campfire. (And if we're lucky, that's *all* they'll smell like!) Be praying for the leaders, the group facilitators, and everyone who's going, that they'd be open to whatever work the Spirit would do in and through them during those few days!

  • New Member Recognition: As part of our monthly emphasis on community life, we'll be celebrating over a dozen people who are joining The Village as new covenant members during Sunday's gathering. If you see any unfamiliar faces, introduce yourself sometime!

  • Air Conditioning: Like I mentioned Sunday, we know that the gathering space has been a little warm the last few weeks. Apparently, it's not just us; the air conditioning is out in almost the entire building. The owners are working to repair it, but it has something to do with a well of some kind. It's above my head, but it's apparently not an easy fix. Thanks for bearing with us, and we'll do what we can to circulate some air in the meantime!

  • COVID Update: In alignment with Ohio's amended public health orders, vaccinated individuals are able to gather without a facial covering and without social distancing beginning this Sunday, May 23rd. As I already said here, this is a time to maintain our integrity - individually and corporately - so we expect folks to do the right thing, be charitable, and demonstrate godly character that accords with the truth. June will be here before we know it, and by God's grace, our first gathering of next month will be the first without any requirements for masks or social distancing for anyone since this all began last year. Let's finish well!

Thanks everyone!
