Serve Teams

What are Serve Teams?

Teams support our mission by serving the church in a variety of ways:

What They Do

Each team is a unique combination of…

  • Relationally-driven,

  • Task-oriented, and/or…

  • …Tech-savvy.

When They Do It

By and large, most teams are either…

  • Sunday Teams for gatherings or…

  • Non-Sunday Teams outside gatherings.

Either way, we prioritize our volunteers’ health and rest!

Why do they serve?

Teams are part of our mission to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Jesus. Serve Teams are led by at least one person who has already been commissioned as a deacon or is on their way there. Part of their responsibility is to show their team how their work plays a meaningful role in discipleship.

Which one should I join?

Whether or not you have an idea of how you’d like to serve, we encourage you to consider these three things:

1. What a Team does

  • Pick a team that does something you enjoy! Not a people-person? Serving coffee may not be for you! Good with tech? Media might be a good fit!

2. When a Team does it

  • If Sundays are the most reliable time for you to serve, prioritize Sunday teams! If weekends are crazy, browse the non-Sunday teams.

3. Contact a Leader

  • If you found a team you’re interested in, click “Request to Join” on its page!
