Maybe God Is at Work for Us
(1 Samuel 14:1-23)

Main Idea:
No one can stop God from saving, when he sets his mind to save.

-

  1. God can save, and maybe he will. (v.6a)

  2. God can save, with many or few. (v.6b-14)

  3. When God saves, his people return home and his enemies flee. (v.15-23)

Reflection Questions

  • In what ways have you minimized the ability of God?

    >> How have you undervalued his desire to save?

    >> Has his sovereignty led you to be overly passive, or reckless?

  • God does the saving, but he saves that we might be sent…

    >> What might that mean for you, right where you are?

    >> Who do you know, pray for, spend time with, and how might God be sending you to join in His saving work?

  • How does the phrase, “God can save, and maybe he will” hit you?

    >> What’s beautiful about that line? What’s true about it?

    >> What's difficult? >> What’s the Spirit inviting you into today? >> What does it mean to REPENT and BELIEVE in light of His Word?
